Mahonia aquifolium 'Apollo' Oregon Grape has leathery deep green leaves that turn reddish purple in winter. Its deep yellow flowers bloom in spring followed by blue berries. It enjoys full sun to part shade and is deer resistant. This native plant is available in the nursery at Westport Winery Garden Resort. Open daily for lunch and dinner from 11-7.
