Astilbe arendsii 'Deutschland' has graceful, airy mounds of feathery white flowers. It blooms from late spring to summer.
Astilbe chinensis 'Visions in Red' features reddish-purple flowers that open from red buds eventually forming full, dense spikes. The deep green, burgundy-tinted foliage on red stems add a lush base to the flowers. Plant in a mass for a striking effect.
Astilbe rosea 'Peach Blossom' blooms with dense spires of soft pink plumes and deep green finely divided foliage in early summer.
These herbaceous perennials are colorful landscape accents in moist areas and prefer shade to part sun. They are beloved by butterflies and are also deer resistant.
