Westport Winery will host one of its popular murder mystery dinners on Wednesday, October 31 at 6pm which is Halloween night. The Murder Before Midnight features the unlikely marriage of 1960s posh aristocracy with hippy pig farmers. Half of the victims and suspects are Kennedy era wannabes while the other half sport tie dye and peace signs. Everyone is invited to dress for the fun and the holiday as they see fit. A few guests may volunteer to join the cast, and everyone will act as deputies in solving Who done it?
To go with the 60s theme the dinner menu is straight from the Kennedy Whitehouse in December of 1961. The meal will open with Fresh Baked Rolls and Shrimp Cocktail followed by D’Anjou Pear Salad with Farmstead Goat Cheese, Fennel, Black Walnuts, and White Balsamic Vinaigrette. The main course is Surf & Turf with Braised Short Ribs and Crispy Crab Cakes served with Haricot Vert, Crimini Mushrooms and Cipollini Onions alongside a Citrus Confit. A decadent Pumpkin Crème Brulee will complete the evening. The price to attend this dinner is $49.95 per person and includes the gratuity but does not include beverages. In Oregon, Westport Winery Seaside is open daily from 11am to 6pm. Westport Winery TASTING @ Cannon Beach is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm.
Family-friendly Westport Winery Garden Resort is located on the corner of Highway 105 and South Arbor Road halfway between Aberdeen and Westport.
