Our next WAM (Wine and Mystery) book club gathering is this coming Friday, May 3 at 4pm in
the sun room at Westport Winery Garden Resort. Winery co-owner Kim Roberts will lead the discussion of their April selection,
The Lost Vintage. Even if you have not read the book you are
encouraged to join us. You are welcome to bring a friend. You may choose
to order beverages or food or not. We will provide complimentary
popcorn and water or coffee.
I have selected The Good Rain: Across Time and Terrain in the Pacific Northwest as our book for next month. It is written by Timothy Egan (who also wrote The Winemaker's Daughter). My friend Andy Perdue (the founding editor of Wine Press Northwest) sent me this book and said it is his favorite of all time. I think that's a pretty good recommendation. It is winner of the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award.
